Types of Proposals
There are many types of proposals; Sometimes the proposal is completely a surprise, she never saw it coming. Maybe you've gone ring shopping with her and she picked out the ring, but the actual proposal will be a surprise.
1) The Surprise Proposal
There are a couple of ways to make the proposal a complete suprise. 1) You pick out the ring based on the jewelry she wears now and what she may have told you she likes. 2) Another more common way would be to contact her family secretly, ask the father for approval, and talk to the mom about the type of ring she likes. 2) You've shopped with her, but made the proposal a surprise. This is the most common option that many couples tend to do today.
